2010 Open House - Come try out curling!

Got Olympic fever? Ever wanted to try out curling and throw a stone? HURRY! Come to Waltham Curling Club (Location/Directions) and give the sport of curling a try!

Upcoming Open Houses
Saturday February 27, 2010 : 2-6pm
Sunday February 28, 2010 : 2-4pm

Our members will be there to teach and assist you every step of the way – no experience is required. There is no registration needed and it is FREE to come try it out. Our club will be open to the public so you can enjoy everything from throwing a stone and being on the ice to broomstacking and enjoying the camaraderie after wards.

What to Wear/Bring?

It is cold out on the ice field (30-40 degrees) but it usually feels warmer after playing a little bit. You should dress wearing loose fitting pants (wind pants, sweatpants preferably not jeans) and layered shirts (t shirt, long sleeve shirt and sweatshirt). Your should bring clean flat soled shoes and they should be carried into the club – our parking lot is gravel and we do not want any debris on our ice.

We will supply all the curling related equipment needed for your experience (broom, slider, stones, etc).

What do I need to do?

No reservations are needed… simply just show up and get ready to curl! Thanks to the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, interest is at an all time high and we have received many emails and phone calls regarding the open house… It is suggested you come as early as possible during the time frame to guarantee your time on the ice. You will need to sign a waiver (adult | minor) before participating.

Everyone is welcome – curling is enjoyed by people of all ages and all skill levels. We have leagues and programs for men, women, mixed, juniors, seniors and you!
