Rent and Curl

Let the Waltham Curling Club help your local business or group improve teamwork and morale in a fun and different atmosphere! Many companies and organizations have already found curling to be successful in three key areas: team building, strategy skills, and recreational fun (such as a golf outing).

Curling ice and rentals are available December through March most Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons.

From the opening handshakes and 'good curling' wishes, to the 'good game' handshakes and socializing after the game, we can accommodate a group of 12 to 24 people out on the ice at one time. Our curling facility consists of an indoor sheet of ice on which 3 individual games can be played at one time. Teams consist of four players but don’t worry if your group has more or less than a multiple of four, as our instructors can fill in to round out the teams.

Costs start at only $15 per person (rental minimum fee is $120.00) with kitchen facilities and beverages available for purchase. A $50 deposit check will reserve the date and time available for your business or group.

A rental event with our club typically consists of two hours on ice with instruction and play, with optional additional time for food and/or refreshments. The club will tailor your event to meet your organizations needs. We will supply all necessary curling equipment.

Recommendations and Helpful Information

Please read and provide the following information to every member in your group.

• You must sign a liability waiver [pdf] to participate on the ice. Any persons under 18 years of age must have the waiver signed in advance by a parent or legal guardian (Minor Release [pdf]). No children under 10 are permitted on the ice. Copies of the waiver will be available at the club.


• All on ice equipment will be provided by the club.


• You must bring a pair of clean rubber soled shoes to be on the ice. DO NOT WEAR THESE SHOES INTO THE CLUB (carry them in). Our parking lot is gravel and it is very important that we keep the ice extremely clean. Street shoes are not permitted on the curling ice sheet.


• Wear comfortable clothing and dress in layers. We recommend layers (long sleeve shirt, turtleneck, swearshirt/sweater) and comfortable pants (windpants, jogging pants, etc). Light gloves or mittens are worn by some.


• The air temperature out on the ice is typically 35-40 degrees but because of your activity, it feels warmer out there... but be prepared.


• Spectators are always welcome. Our heated viewing room has theater type seating, behind large plate glass windows to view the action out on the ice.


• Our clubroom is where participants go to absorb the warmth and camaraderie after curling. We have water, soft drinks, beer, wine, and liquor available on a cash basis or it can be kept on a tab and added to your bill.


• The clubhouse also has a full service kitchen for food preparation for your group.
