This year will be the first time we will be hosting a PIC Invitational Bonspiel on December 15, 2012.

This bonspiel has been created to allow our weekend groups to come out and experience a one day bonspiel. Group organizers that support our club will be contacted and invited to attend.

Please come out and cheer them on as it should be a great time.

New for this year, we are hoping to hold curler instructional sessions twice a month.

These sessions are open to all curlers and will generally be on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month. Please note that the first session will be December 14th, 2012 at 7:30pm.

Current instructional volunteers include Everett Wilson, Greg Stewart and Steve Parke.

If you wish to volunteer to help with the instruction, please let us know!

This offseason we have made some improvements that you may find interesting.

Equipment

We have purchased new brooms, push sticks and stabilizers. These have all been labeled as property of the Waltham Curling Club. We ask that everyone please make sure they do not leave the club.

Scoreboard Numbers

New numbers have been produced for the scoreboards.

New Signage

There are now sign posted in the club as a reminder to keep up pace of play on the ice.

Parking Lot

The parking lot has been expanded to almost double the size. It has been seal coated and new lines painted.

Ice Scraper

A used cordless Ice King scraper has been purchased from North Shore Curling Club.

Just a reminder that league play is just around the corner. If you are planning on playing in leagues this year be sure to sign up on the signup sheets at the club. Team will most likely be formed around Christmas. Be sure to sign up before then.
